周翔天,教授,上海交通大学医学院/附属第九人民医院,视觉健康全国重点实验室副主任。

主要从事近视发病机制和临床防控研究,创新性提出近视形成的巩膜缺氧学说。入选国家自然科学基金杰出青年科学基金、优秀青年科学基金。现任中华医学会眼科学分会青年委员会副主任委员、视觉生理学组副组长、中华眼科学会专家会员,亚太眼科学院FellowARVO Fellow。担任《IOVS》、《BJO》、《Experimental Eye Research》、《Eye & Contact Lens》、《中华眼科杂志》等期刊编委。

在眼科与视觉科学领域主流学术期刊发表SCI论文100余篇,包括《Cell Metabolism》、《PNAS》及《Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science20余篇。获授权发明专利11项(含国际专利2项),实现成果转化3项。参与项目获2007年度和2009年度国家科技进步二等奖(分别排名第三、第四)。


Professor Xiangtian Zhou, Professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine / Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, and Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Eye Health.

His research focuses on the pathogenesis and clinical prevention of myopia, and he has pioneered the "scleral hypoxia theory" of myopia development. He has been awarded the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars. He currently serves as Deputy Director of the Youth Committee of the Chinese Medical Association Ophthalmology Branch, Deputy Head of the Visual Physiology Group, and Expert Member of the Chinese Ophthalmological Society. He is a Fellow of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology and an ARVO Fellow, and serves on the editorial boards of journals including IOVSBJOExperimental Eye ResearchEye & Contact Lens, and Chinese Journal of Ophthalmology.

He has published over 100 SCI-indexed papers in leading ophthalmology and vision science journals, including Cell MetabolismPNAS, and more than 20 articles in Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science. He holds 11 authorized invention patents (including 2 international patents), with 3 patents successfully translated into applications. He contributed to research projects that received the Second Prize of the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award in 2007 and 2009 (ranking third and fourth, respectively).
